Blue gourami fish are typically small, growing to a maximum length of around 4-6 inches (10-15 cm). They have a distinctive blue-green coloration on their body, with three black spots on their sides. They are omnivorous and can be fed a diet of flakes, pellets, frozen or live foods.
In the wild, blue gourami fish are found in slow-moving streams, rice paddies, and ponds. In captivity, they require a tank with a minimum capacity of 20 gallons (75 liters) and should be kept in groups of at least three to reduce stress and aggression.
